Today, Land Heritage Institute is an association of some twenty independent organizations with permanent director positions on its governing board. Over the past two years they have dedicated considerable time and resources to developing a conceptual master plan, resulting in the identification of seven principal programmatic components pursuant to its stated mission.

American Indians - Texas at Spanish Colonial Missions The American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AIT-SCM) is a nonprofit organization established by the Tap Pilam Coahuiltecan Nation, descendants of the aboriginal people who populated South Texas and Northeast Mexico. The organization works for the preservation and protection of the culture and traditions of the Native American tribes and other indigenous people who resided in the Spanish colonial missions. Bexar Audubon Society A chapter of National Audubon Society with a mission to serve species/habitat conservation while improving the environmental education of our community • Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas, Inc Green Spaces serves the community by keeping South Texas green. With the help of board, staff, and corporate and community volunteers, Green Spaces preserves large parcels of land, fosters community gardens, and educates the public.Their site!

Tap Pilam Coalhuiltecan Nation The modern day descendants of protohistoric Indians living in south Texas, who collectively came to be known as Coahuiltecans, These Coahuiltecan descendants, known as the Tap-Pilam-Coahuiltecan Nations (or simply Tap-Pilam), are an essential component to the LHIA.
Texas A&M University - San Antonio Currently located in temporary quarters in several locations in south San Antonio with a new campus under construction in South Bexar County. TAMUSA is dedicated to providing quality educational opportunities for South Texas students who might not have the opportunity to travel to other locations.
Texas Equestrian Trail Association, Inc. TETRA members are individuals who share a mutual love of horses and participate in trail rides across the state of Texas. Their site!
The Witte Museum San Antonio ‘s premiere museum of South Texas history, culture, and natural science. Located in Brackenridge Park , on the banks of the San Antonio River , the Witte offers permanent exhibits that include dinosaur skeletons, cave drawings, wildlife dioramas, and even some live animals. Several historic homes have been reconstructed on the campus, which also features the very popular H-E-B Science Treehouse. Native Plant Society The Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT) was founded on April 25, 1981 in Denton for the purpose of protecting the botanical legacy of Texas. Their site!
City of San Antonio Dept of Parks & Recreation The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department operates the City’s recreational and cultural programs and maintains 229 City-owned parks including swimming pools, gymnasiums, cemeteries, sports facilities, recreation centers and the Botanical Garden and Conservatory. The department is responsible for the maintenance of 18,849.5316 acres of park land Their site!

• National Park Service A part of the National Interior Department, the National Park Service cares for America’s nearly 400 national parks…and works in almost every one of her 3,141 counties.
• Southbound Show Management Inc Produces quality equestrian events throughout the United States and Canada. We are a full service events management company specializing in horse show management, horse show facility and farm design, ring footing and jumps, course design and judging.
• The Sierra Club An environmental organization with chapters throughout the United States and Canada that offer opportunities for local involvement, activism and outings.
• Texas Parks & Wildlife Department within the State of Texas that includes hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, birdwatching and more. Also has many efforts to conserve fish and wildlife species and habitat as well as cultural and historic sites across Texas.
• USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service Department within the USDA it was originally called the Soil Conservation Service. The NRCS has provided leadership in a partnership efforts to help America’s private land owners and managers conserve their soil, water, and other natural resources
